Form a new development vision for the Campus
CBC is at the heart of the Cambridge Life Sciences cluster, anchored by the University of Cambridge, a group of world-leading teaching hospitals and international commercial pharmaceutical and R&D businesses. In 2020, RJP was part of the core team of property, economic and development advisors to the client. We gave planning insight to the wider advisory team to untangle the complex development history of the campus, decipher the multitude of regulatory constraints that could affect the growth plans and help guide the growth strategy. Given the high level of community engagement and the Green Belt status of adjacent land, our input and advice had to be clear, highly informed and easily understood by the client group and wider stakeholders.
Our work fed into a successful recognition of the growth needs of the campus in the emerging local plan.
