Secure retrospective planning permission for change of use of a former community hall into a Sui Generis use incorporating both fitness/gymnastics studio and community use.
Our team worked proactively to gather the evidence necessary to support a retrospective planning application for change of use. RJP agreed the scope of the submission with the Council and prepared the application, which included a sequential test, to support the proposal, in December 2022. Despite collating additional evidence through the determination period, RJP ultimately advised the client that an appeal against non-determination would be necessary. The appeal was allowed in July 2024, ensuring that the hall can remain in use, and supporting a young entrepreneur to grow a successful business.
