Why do you work for RJP town planners?

I joined RJP in 2020, when there was a brief 'back to the office' window between lockdowns. I really enjoy the collaboration at RJP and the dedication that Ruth and Tess have to supporting and developing the team. I also value the commitment to sustainability, both in our projects and how the business is run. I went on maternity leave in 2021, and have had incredible support from everyone at RJP in the years since, helping me to balance the demands of caring for a young child with project work.

Experience, specialism & skills

Since joining RJP I have developed my knowledge and skills in planning for major infrastructure, particularly in the rail sector. I also have knowledge and expertise in town centres and retail, education, and healthcare development from previous roles. My key strength is promoting clear communication and helping break down some of the complexity in the planning system for clients.

Tell us what you like best about being a town planner?

I like that planning is about the infrastructure of everyday life, and (as my sister described it), reducing friction!

Aside from work

I make an excellent pavlova.
